I discovered Pilates while looking for a way to support my gym training and manage my hypermobility. Pilates gave me exactly what I needed — core strength, body awareness, and alignment that helped me feel balanced and strong.
What began as a weekly class soon became essential. It eased muscular aches from long hours of studying, supported recovery from past sports injuries, and improved my posture, strength, and mental clarity.
"Pilates became more than exercise — it was the perfect practice for both my body and mind."
After teaching in primary education, I chose to follow a new path—one that still allowed me to support others, use my teaching skills, and find a healthier work-life balance. Becoming a Pilates teacher has transformed my life, and now I'm here to help you do the same.
Whether you're new to Pilates or looking to deepen your practice, I'm here to guide you with care, expertise, and a passion for helping you feel your best—inside and out.
Hello, I'm Emma, a qualified Body Control Pilates teacher based in Wonersh, Surrey. I founded Pilates 4 Everyone because I believe Pilates should be accessible to everyone — regardless of age, ability, background, or experience.
Too often, people think Pilates is only for the flexible or the sporty. The truth is, matwork Pilates is for everybody. Whether you are living with a disability, working long hours, recovering after pregnancy, or simply looking to move with more ease, Pilates can support you.
With Pilates 4 Everyone, my aim is to create safe, supportive, and adaptable classes that allow anyone to benefit from the principles of Body Control Pilates: alignment, breathing, concentration, centring, precision, and flow.
To make Pilates accessible, welcoming, and beneficial for every body that walks through the door.
Pilates can be adapted for different physical abilities. Gentle matwork exercises improve mobility, strength, and confidence, making Pilates an excellent choice for people with all mobility needs.
If you spend hours at a desk or commuting, Pilates is the perfect way to improve posture, relieve stress, and counteract the effects of long sitting hours.
Pilates isn't just for women. Many top athletes use it to build strength, flexibility, and injury resilience. Men in Surrey join my classes to improve core stability and reduce back pain.
matwork Pilates is safe and supportive during pregnancy (with modifications). After birth, Pilates helps restore core strength, pelvic floor function, and overall wellbeing.
Pilates supports bone density, balance, and flexibility, making it a valuable practice during menopause. It also helps manage stress and improves energy levels.
The focus on breathing and controlled movement makes Pilates a powerful tool for reducing anxiety, managing stress, and improving overall mood.
Whether you're stiff from work or sport, Pilates gently improves mobility. It also corrects postural habits, helping with back, shoulder, and neck pain.
I welcome complete beginners and those looking to develop their practice. Classes are small, friendly, and tailored to your needs, with clear guidance every step of the way.
Not everyone wants to join a group class. I offer private Pilates lessons and one-to-one matwork sessions for completely personalised instruction.
